Radio and Podcast

 A digital way of broadcasting so that they are able to download it from a computer or mobile device to their target audience. It is different to traditional radio broadcasting as instead of it being just a voice recording it is also a video recording which some members of the audience may prefer as they are able to to see the producers facial expressions and body language to see how they feel when talking about certain subjects. It is also different as it covers more media platforms than traditional radios such as YouTube, Instagram, twitter etc. whereas other radios tend to just use search portals and radio systems when broadcasting.

Commercial radio broadcasting is the broadcasting of television programs and radio programming by privately owned corporate media as opposed to state sponsorship for example BBC Radio 2.

Public broadcasting involves radio, television and other electronic media outlets whose primary mission is public service. In many countries of the world, funding comes from governments, especially via annual fees charged on receivers.

BBC provide content nationally, locally and globally due to the addition of the different time services meaning they have a service allocated for their radio station which is accessible everywhere as long as you have a radio or any electronic advice that you are able to get access to the radio on.

  Within the advert for Tide from the 1950s, women are represented in a way to reinforce the stereotype that all they are good for is cleaning, which was what was dominantly linked to the purpose of women back then. Beyonce Music Videos

In the music video of Beyoncé's song 'Already ft. Major Lazer' is set in the environment of a black country and culture. This is evident due to the style of clothes she is wearing throughout the whole video which consists of animal print clothing, painted clothing which is often found in West Indian tribes and an outfit made entirely of gold. the style of the movie is a storytelling narrative as it is not constantly focused on her the entire video. There are clips of the other participants dancing and just being natural in their own atmosphere, I believe this is to tell the story of what black cultures are like as well as enforcing history. Because in the past stories were told through dance instead of talking or from books. As well as the video being a storytelling narrative, the lyrics within  the song itself also embed great power behind what Beyoncé is trying to express through her video and the song as well. Black Panther

  Why is Black Panther defined as a mainstream film? The movie Black panther, produced by Kevin Feige & David J. Grant, is defined as a mainstream film due to the main genres allocated with mainstream films being identified within the movie such as, action, sci-fi & superhero.  However although it suits majority of the criteria related to films identified as mainstream, it also suits properties of an independent film. For example, the narrative/ theme of the movie gives off escapist entertainment due to the story which consists of big/ famous stars in the media industry- for this instance: Chadwick Boseman & Micheal B Jordan etc. Unlike other mainstreams Black Panther doesn’t have a closed ending however it has an opening ending which is a feature of a independent film- leading to a potential sequel of the movie.
