  Why is Black Panther defined as a mainstream film? The movie Black panther, produced by Kevin Feige & David J. Grant, is defined as a mainstream film due to the main genres allocated with mainstream films being identified within the movie such as, action, sci-fi & superhero.  However although it suits majority of the criteria related to films identified as mainstream, it also suits properties of an independent film.
